C. Patrick Duecy, Senior Fellow, became a partner at Homeland Solutions LLC, in fall 2003. Prior to then he served as director of the Department of Defense’s Joint Intelligence Task Force, Combating Terrorism, a position he was appointed to in September 2001. Immediately prior to that appointment, Mr. Duecy served from 1997 as the Director of NATO Intelligence in Brussels, Belgium.
In 1968, after graduation from the University of Idaho, Mr. Duecy spent eight years commissioned-service as a line surface warfare officer in destroyers and cruisers and served a one-year tour with the Naval Advisory Group, Vietnam. In 1976, Mr. Duecy left active naval service and began a career with the Defense Intelligence Agency. His analytical assignments included work in current intelligence, indications and warning, strategic intelligence and intelligence estimates. Mr. Duecy is a retired member of the United States Naval Reserve, having last served in the rank of Captain, USNR. He has received various military awards including the Bronze Star with Combat Distinguishing Device.
