Gregory Montanaro has been involved in research on terrorism and security for many years. He is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania in political geography and terrorism, where he earned both his undergraduate degree in urban studies as well as his master’s degree in organizational dynamics and strategic planning. Montanaro has extensive experience in working with local government and law enforcement agencies. In recent years, he worked with the Philadelphia Police Department to create a GIS crime mapping, analysis, and deployment tool. Montanaro has also done extensive work on issues of urban economic and community development, utilizing his background in financial planning and strategic marketing and communications.
